Hi everyone,
We are so grateful that you have landed on this post. My name is Brenden, and I am joined in this business by my wife, Stephanie, and our 8 month old son, Beckett. We officially launched our business in July,2018, and it has been the most surreal experience.
Photography has always been on my personal radar. In 2014 I Purchased my first DSLR camera, and was so excited to learn. I didn't officially begin learning how to use a camera until September, 2016. Both Steph and I work as teachers, and in September 2016, I was asked to teach "Yearbook" at the high school that I work at. In order to teach the Yearbook class, one is actually supposed to know how to use a camera. So, I began to learn! Through trial and error, and a lot of hands on practice, I began to learn how to take photos and then I had to learn how to teach photography to my 60 students.
I am very thankful that I had the opportunity to teach Yearbook, because it inspired me to learn more about photography, and to truly appreciate it. There are so many incredible photographers out there. I decided this past summer that I wanted to try and join the club.
In 2018, our baby boy was born. When Beckett was born, the world literally stood still. He changed our lives forever, in the best way possible. Of course, with a newborn around, photos are important. Like any proud papa, I began taking tons of photos of Beckett on my DSLR. Throughout this time I began studying how photographers edit, and the tools that they use. After a lot of research, and practice, I was ready to test out my skills. One of my Coworkers had a baby a few months after we did, and she invited us over to take family photos. I can't even tell you how nervous we were for this photoshoot. The shoot went well, and we were inspired to pursue this business.
Fast forward 4 months, and we are now here. Thank you to all of the families that have supported us so far, and that have let us into your worlds. We have met some of the nicest people on the planet over the past few months and it has been truly special. Moving forward we are looking to work with more families, couples, and we are open to large events. Stay tuned for what's next!
